I’ve proudly protested and stood with the citizens of the 1st district. This isn’t a new phenomenon. Fighting injustice is in my DNA. And, yes, that has led to some interesting conversations with my campaign team urging me to stay home to make critical fundraising phone calls in the final weeks. Bottom line: Rob Wittman stands with Trump, the president threatening violence, and expressing divisive, rhetoric that emboldens hatred. I won’t be quiet, I won't stay home, and I won’t stop fighting to bring compassionate leadership to this district.
No matter what, I’m spending my weekend with our community. Fighting for justice. Fighting against hate. And pushing for long needed action.
