Monday, June 23, 2025: On Saturday, I had two constituent meetings near my home during the day, and later that night, after President Trump’s address to the nation regarding the U.S. bombings of three nuclear facilities in Iran, I had two virtual television interviews. The first interview was with WSB-TV in Atlanta, and the second was with WSAV-TV in Savannah. Once at the Capitol this morning, I head to the House Chamber where I pay tribute to the University of Georgia Boren Award winners, Sea Island bartender Nic Wallace who was selected as a 2025 World Class U.S. Bartender, Dr. Jim Hotz who has provided rural healthcare in Southwest Georgia for over 47 years, and Veteran Andrea ‘Fearless” Smith Brown from Savannah who uses her motorcycle riding for healing of PTSD. Afterwards, I head to the House photography studio to update my official portrait before returning to our office, where I have a virtual call with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). Next, I head back to the House Chamber, where I speak on two Energy and Commerce (E&C) healthcare bills being debated before heading back to our office for a series of meetings. My first meeting is with the E&C Health staff as we discuss the latest developments with the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) currently in the Senate, followed by a meeting with our communications staff. After taping an interview with WTOC-TV in Savannah to discuss the Iran-Israel situation, I have meetings with our scheduling staff, followed by our legislative staff. After heading off Capitol Hill for meetings with the House Conservative fund and Resurgens Orthopaedics/United Musculoskeletal Partners, I head back to the House Chamber for our first vote series of the week. Afterwards, I remain in the Chamber where I pay tribute to Elizabeth Harley from Statesboro in Bulloch County, who has been chosen Georgia Health Science teacher of the year. Next, I head to a meeting hosted by my good friend, Ways and Means Chairman Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO), who has as his special guest, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz. Later, I head back to the Capitol, where I lead a nighttime tour of the Capitol for a group visiting this week.

Tuesday, June 24, 2025: I’m up early this morning and live on Mornings with Maria on Fox Business as we discuss the Iran/Israel situation, the OBBBA, and other news of the day. Afterwards, I’m on the radio with my good friends on the World Famous Butch and Bob show in Jesup, before heading off Capitol Hill for our weekly GOP conference meeting where we have as our guest U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer. Next, I head to the E&C committee room in the Rayburn House Office Building where I have a pre-meeting with the Chair of the E&C full committee, Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-KY), and our witness for our E&C Health subcommittee hearing this morning, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Afterwards, I chair the subcommittee hearing with Sec. Kennedy, as our witness, presents the Department's FY 2026 budget request. Afterwards, I return to our office and meet with the CEO of Qnovia, a company that makes smoking cessation treatments, before heading to the House Chamber for our first and only vote series of the day. After a meeting off Capitol Hill, I head back to our office for a virtual meeting with our district staff before meeting with the CEO of SI-BONE, a company that develops new medical device technologies. Next, I have a meeting with our White House liaison for E&C before heading off Capitol Hill, where I am the special guest for the Alfred Kahn Dinner Series, as we have a conversation regarding reforming the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) process.

Wednesday, June 25, 2025: I’m back on the radio early this morning as I join my good friend, Scott Ryfun, on StraightTalk in Brunswick before having a live TV interview on Newsmax where we discuss my letter nominating President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. Next, I head to the E&C committee room for our official committee portrait for the 119th Congress, and afterwards remain for a full committee markup on energy bills reported out of the Energy subcommittee. Later, I meet with the Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia before meeting with Greg Ross, the Head of North America for Opella, a manufacturer of over-the-counter (OTC) medications. After meeting with the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA), I meet with WC Bradley Executives. WC Bradley is a Columbus company that makes outdoor cooking and living/recreation items. Next, I head to the House Chamber for our first and only vote series of the day before heading to the White House for a meeting with staff. My final meeting of the day is also off Capitol Hill as I meet with the Bitcoin Policy Institute.

Thursday, June 26, 2025: I’m off Capitol Hill this morning as I participate in an Executive roundtable with the Bitcoin Policy Institute at their Policy summit. Once back on Capitol Hill, I head to an E&C Environment subcommittee hearing on coal ash. Afterwards, I head to the House Chamber where I pay tribute to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) as they celebrate their 55th anniversary, my good friend U.S. Marshal David Lyons on his retirement, Savannah native Justin Thomas, Jr. who starred on the Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team this year, Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC) reporter Jamie Dupree who has covered Capitol Hill for the past 45 years, and WTOC-TV in Savannah who was recently awarded an Emmy for best morning newscast for smaller markets. Afterwards, I remain on the floor and speak on H.R. 875, a bill that makes driving while intoxicated a ground for barring a non-U.S. national from admission into the U.S. or deporting the individual. Once back in our office, I have meetings with the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) followed by a meeting with the CEO of Telynx, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) company. After a meeting off Capitol Hill, I head to the House Chamber for votes before returning to our office for successive meetings with the CEO of Otsuka, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, Health Agents for America, and the American Nurses Association (ANA). Next, I have a virtual interview with WSAV-TV in Savannah to discuss the Nobel Peace Prize before heading to meetings off Capitol Hill.

Friday, June 27, 2025: I’m at the White House early this morning to assist constituents in getting admission before heading back to the Capitol and to the Capitol Visitors Center (CVC) for a classified bipartisan member briefing on the Israel/Iran situation. After heading to the House Chamber for our final vote series of the week, I pay tribute to the National Museum of the Mighty 8th Air Force in Pooler, who will be receiving a rare B-24 Liberator bomber soon. Next, I have a call with my Chief of Staff and District Director before heading back to our office, where I meet with Guardian Centers of Georgia, a group that works closely with FLETC for training services. After a meeting with our interns working with us this summer, I head to a meeting off Capitol Hill and return a short while later for pictures with the interns outside the Capitol. Once back in our office, I film this week’s edition of Buddy’s Briefing and a reel before heading to the airport for a flight to Columbus, Ohio, where I will be speaking at Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA announcement of a $1 billion investment to further expand its domestic manufacturing and development of essential generic medicines.
