Our founder, former Congressman Adam Kinzinger, knows this firsthand. When he stood up to the chaos and lies that consumed the far-right of the Republican party, he lost his position. He lost Family, and he lost friends. But he never lost sight of what matters: the truth, the Constitution, and the people he swore to serve. 

That experience is why he created Country First—not for politicians, but for people of courage like you.  In the face of doing what was right – though he loss much, he— and we—gained something more – a shared purpose of making an impact to defend and strengthen our democracy.

We formed a Collective Courage.

Now, we’re turning courage into action through our Citizens First program—training and equipping everyday Americans to lead, engage, and defend democracy from the ground up.  We’re turning courage into winning elections, through our first of its kind – Primary First Program that educates and activates pro-democracy voters.
