Back in February, we sent a billboard truck to Eau Claire, Wisconsin holding Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R-WI) accountable for supporting Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s war on seniors.

Hundreds of seniors called Van Orden’s office to tell him: Hands off Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid! But Van Orden still hasn’t gotten the message. He voted for Trump’s Big Ugly Bill, which would gut Medicaid and close rural hospitals around the country.

It’s time to send Van Orden packing — and we know just the person to do it. We’re proud to endorse Rebecca Cooke, a working class Social Security champion who is running for Van Orden’s seat.

Rebecca Cooke wants to scrap the cap, so that the wealthy pay into Social Security at the same rate as the rest of us. And she wants to use the money to protect and expand Social Security’s modest benefits.

Cooke also supports improving Medicare, so that it includes vision, dental, and hearing coverage. And she wants to expand Medicare’s power to negotiate lower drug prices.

Meanwhile, Derrick Van Orden supports a so-called Balanced Budget Amendment — which would make it UNCONSTITUTIONAL for Social Security to pay promised benefits!

Rebecca Cooke’s campaign is gaining momentum. She just got a huge endorsement from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). But to beat the corporate-funded Van Orden, she needs our help!
