Hello, True Texans!
I'm back from a family vacation celebrating 12 years of homeschooling and graduation! Big thanks to Olivia, our scheduler extraordinaire, for filling in for me on the Sunday newsletter.
So, I've only been back for one day, and I'm dragging my feet a bit on jumping back into the yuck of politics. If I was firing on all cylinders, I'd be ripping into Dan Patrick for trying to manipulate Tarrant County. Or I'd be calling out Greg Abbott for flaunting how he saved us from Islamic developments like EPIC... when he's done diddly squat. You know, same old, same old. I guess I'll give them a pass this time.
WAIT... what??? Not a chance! You wanna hear activists in action, no longer naively manipulated by politicians' rhetoric? You've got be on X. All weekend, I've been laying into Lt Dan and the embarrassing lemmings we call Senators who dutifully fall in line to retweet him on command! And that business with Abbott? I was happy to interrupt my vacation and put him in his place too.
Why? Because the fight never ends. We must be eternally vigilant. Evil does not go on vacation, and as tempting as it is for us to check out and live blissful but ignorant lives, we simply cannot. Obviously I'm talking in extremes (of course we can enjoy a family vacation), but you get what I'm saying. I love fighting alongside you. I love watching our numbers grow. I love seeing the education we provide put into action. The more we all jump in to "ratio" those who try to deceive us, the more we educate and enlarge our army.
[What does "ratio" mean? It's when someone posts something on social media that is just not true and intends to manipulate the masses, but the masses jump in and add comments calling out the lies. It refers to the ratio of supportive comments vs those fighting back. Lt Dan was ratioed all weekend!]
Work to be done... There is always work to be done in order to save Texas. This seems more true than ever after the legislative session we've just had and election season ramping up. We won't stop working and we hope you'll stand with us. If you have the ability to give, please do. Small, monthly donations go a really long way. Can you chip in 15 bucks a month? We are grateful for any help.
July 19th - Certified True Texan Youth Training Certified True Texan Training for YOUTH, focused on teaching younger Texans from 6th-12th grade the basics of Texas history, governance, and conservative activism, is almost here! It's a youth version of all 5 of the Certified True Texan classes. After one full day of sessions, the youth have earned a cool T Shirt and gained a ton of important knowledge to carry forward. To learn more about these classes or to register for FREE, click here! [Note: we will be repeating this class in October in the Houston area.]
Warming - not global; the good kind! As we move to a new email service, the process involves slowly moving emails from the old system to the new system. As those are opened and read and the servers verify the emails we send are legit, we can add more email addresses, and more, and more, until everyone is moved over. It's a process called "warming" that helps keep our messages from being sent to spam. This email you're reading now is via our old service. When you see emails from the new service, it might seem annoying to receive a random email with basically the same info we've already sent you, but it's all part of the process. What we really need you to do is check your spam or junk folder and mark our emails as "Not Spam". It will take several months for us to complete this transition. Thanks!
Calendar 📆 Be on the lookout for our July calendar next Sunday, full of great opportunities for you to get involved! There are meetings, social outings, the Youth Certified True Texan Training, and much more!
Monthly TTP podcasts Our June podcast features Matt Rinaldi teaching us all we need to know about how to censure our State Reps. Definitely check that out and make it happen! Then our July podcast drops this Friday! It's a good one with Luke Macias going over the wins and losses of the lege session that just ended. His perspective may surprise you!
