John,
Republicans claim that they’re cutting Medicaid and SNAP to address waste, fraud, and abuse. That’s absurd and the American people know it.
By a 53% to 27% margin, voters reject this disastrous budget that steals from the poor to give to the rich.[1] In fact, their tax cuts for the wealthy cost so much that even after all the service cuts, the version of this bill being debated on the U.S. Senate floor today would still add $4.5 trillion to the national debt:[2]
This bill just keeps getting worse, and yet Congress is still rushing to pass it by their self-imposed deadline of July 4th.
Rush a donation today to power our activism, which is reminding Congress that the American people are watching and that we reject a bill that would result in tens of thousands of deaths each year to pay for more tax breaks for the wealthy.
Republicans hope we’re not watching. And Mitch McConnell thinks we’ll just “get over it”:
But we’re holding Congress accountable every step of the way. And we need your continued support today to keep the pressure on.
Rush a donation to help stop this budget and tax scam that represents the largest upward transfer of wealth to the richest 1% in history.
