Welcome to our Team Tillis newsletter, where we discuss what Thom has been up to from the campaign trail to Capitol Hill, and everything in between! |

Friend, It’s been a busy week, not only in Washington but across the entire world.
Thom is standing strong on two big issues—supporting President Trump’s push to hold sanctuary cities accountable and backing his bold action to ensure Iran doesn’t get their hands on a nuclear weapon. And in response to the lawless protests that recently erupted in Los Angeles, Thom introduced legislation to criminalize blocking public roads.
As always, Thom’s focused on keeping his promises and putting our safety and values first. Catch up on all the details below.
Thank you, -Team Tillis |

Peace Through Strength: Thom Applauds Trump’s Decisive Action in Iran, Calls Out Dangerous Democrats
|
As President Trump takes decisive action to stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions and defend Israel, Thom is standing strong in support of America’s national security and leadership abroad. The recent ceasefire deal brokered by the Trump administration shows strength—not weakness—in the face of escalating threats from the Iranian regime. While President Trump is focused on deterring terrorism and protecting our allies, our opponent is more interested in playing politics.
|
Instead of standing up to Iran’s destabilizing actions, Wiley Nickel chose to launch partisan attacks against President Trump, completely ignoring the real threat posed by a nuclear-armed Iran. Thom is clear: America’s national security should never take a back seat to political games. He will continue to support strong, principled leadership that confronts our enemies and defends American interests around the world.

Promises Made, Promises Kept: SCOTUS Ruling Allows President Trump to Hold Sanctuary Cities Accountable
|
This week, the Supreme Court delivered a major win for public safety and the rule of law. In a ruling that backs President Trump’s efforts to restore the rule of law at our southern border, the Court cleared the way for the administration to resume the swift removal of illegal immigrants—including to countries other than their home nations. This decision overturned a lower court order that blocked these removals and forced unnecessary delays by allowing illegal immigrants to challenge deportation in ways not required by law.
Thom had this to say: "Promises made, promises kept. President Trump wants to crack down on dangerous sanctuary jurisdictions to stop liberal politicians from releasing violent illegals back into our communities. Today's SCOTUS ruling allows the President to hold these sanctuary jurisdictions accountable for jeopardizing public safety." This ruling sends a clear message: protecting our communities comes first, and no sanctuary policy should shield violent offenders from the law.

Legislative Highlights: In Response to L.A. Riots, Thom Reintroduces Bill to Make Blocking Public Roads a Federal Crime
|
In response to growing public safety concerns after anti-ICE protesters took over Los Angeles in recent weeks, Thom introduced the Safe and Open Streets Act, which would make it a federal crime to intentionally block roads and obstruct traffic during protests.
From Los Angeles to right here in North Carolina, radical protest groups have been shutting down major roads, putting drivers, emergency responders, and everyday Americans at risk. In Durham, protesters blocked NC-147 during rush hour. In Greensboro, anti-ICE protesters caused similar chaos.
“The emerging tactic of radical protesters blocking roads and stopping commerce is not only obnoxious to innocent commuters, but it’s also dangerous and will eventually get people killed,” said Thom.

Make it Monthly: Recurring Donations Fuel our Campaign
|
Thom’s 2026 campaign is the #1 Senate race in the country. Democrats will throw everything they have at us to try to flip this seat and regain control from Republicans in the Senate. We can’t let that happen. But we need all the help we can get if we want to stand a chance against the Democrat-funded machine. Recurring donors fuel our campaign and allow us to have a steady stream of resources to fight against attacks from the Left. Will you become a recurring donor today to fuel Team Tillis and hold onto a Republican majority in 2026?
