Earlier this year, Governor Andy Beshear went on MSNBC and called it like it is: Today’s GOP is more focused on party loyalty than on the people they were elected to serve.

And since then, they’ve only proven him right:

1. The House GOP voted for a budget that takes food away from hungry families—while exploding the nation’s debt.
2. That same bill guts Medicaid, threatening the healthcare coverage of 16 million Americans.
3. Just this week, Sen. Mitch McConnell, in a closed-door meeting with other Republicans, said that cuts to healthcare have to stay, and that Americans who lose life-saving healthcare will “get over it.”

This isn’t just about one bad leader. It’s a pattern that has infected our politics for too long.

That's why we’re taking action to end it, by electing leaders who serve their communities, not party bosses focused on division. Leaders who put people first, fight for working families, and have the courage to stand up for what’s right, not what’s politically convenient.
