Pride is when we celebrate our LGBTQ+ community. But it’s more than a celebration. It’s solidarity.
During Pride, we reaffirm our support and acceptance of our trans and gender queer siblings. We are one Los Angeles, and all are welcome.
At the National Trans Visibility March in DC
With the continued right-wing assault on the trans community, and an uptick in overall anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment, it’s on all of us to step up and defend the rights of our neighbors and friends in the LGBTQ+ community. You have my word that in Congress, I’ll continue to do everything in my power to do just that.
I’m in awe of the courage that the LGBTQ+ community shows every day by living their authentic lives. As Pride month draws to a close, please take a moment to join me in reflecting on the richness and diversity that the LGBTQ+ community brings to our world.
