Donald Trump has called “fake news” on recent polls showing Joe Biden with massive leads both nationally and in key swing states like Michigan and Florida.
And unfortunately, the president could be right. POLITICO reports that while Biden’s national lead is probably accurate, “most pollsters believe that, on balance, state polls are overstating the scale of Biden’s advantage.”
It’s the same thing that happened in 2016: Trump’s poll numbers were dismal, Democrats felt assured of victory, but Trump pulled off an Electoral College upset on Election Day. Now, it could happen all over again.
