Square One is focused on building a government that actually reflects and responds to the needs of working people. And that’s exactly why I’m running. I didn’t grow up in politics. I grew up in the Central Valley, in a one-bedroom apartment, sleeping in a bunk bed in the living room. My parents came here from Mexico, undocumented and working hard every single day to give their kids a shot at a better life. We relied on WIC, Medicaid, and public schools to get by. I worked weekends at the swap meet and in my dad’s auto shop. When I say I understand the challenges families are facing in the Valley, it’s because I’ve lived them. That perspective shapes everything about this campaign – and it’s why Square One’s support matters. Because they see that what’s missing in Congress isn’t just policy, it’s people with lived experience and the guts to fight for something better. This endorsement couldn’t come at a more important moment. We’re just hours away from our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline – the biggest opportunities we have to show the strength of this grassroots movement. Thank you, Professor Randy Villegas |
