Calling for NO KINGS!
In June, the Food & Water Watch Iowa team led the “No Kings!” protest ([link removed]) in Des Moines, Iowa, gathering more than 8,000 Iowans to oppose Trump and his billionaire friends.
While Trump pushes tax breaks for the rich, he’s also gutting farm programs, food assistance, and rural clean water funding that Iowans rely on. Our organizers are on the frontlines of this fight, calling on leaders like Reps. Zach Nunn and Mariannette Miller-Meeks ([link removed]) to stand up for Iowans and reject Trump’s agenda.

VICTORY! Sustainable Farmers Protect Key Conservation Program
Earlier this month, a federal court rejected a lawsuit aiming to dismantle the Swampbuster program. This lawsuit threatened to ease the way for corporate development, gut longstanding clean water and wetlands protections, and end a program that benefits many sustainable farmers.

500 Health Professionals Condemn Trump’s Cuts to Food and Health
Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” will have ugly consequences for our country’s most vulnerable. It would take healthcare and food assistance from millions of children and families, while passing giveaways to polluting corporations.

Tell EPA: Defend PFAS Protections!
Next week, Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) could decide whether to maintain and defend critical protections that hold polluters accountable for toxic PFAS “forever chemicals” in our drinking water. Nearly half of municipalities are estimated to have PFAS in their water, thanks to greedy chemical companies that created these contaminants.

Fighting Legal Immunity for Pesticide Companies
Pesticide companies have paid billions of dollars to settle lawsuits that allege their products cause cancer and other illnesses. This year, Big Ag companies like Bayer, the maker of Roundup, attempted to further put profits over our health and environment by pushing bills that would give them immunity against future lawsuits.
