I’ll be frank with you, folks, I’m about to ask you to chip in to my reelection campaign.

June marks another Federal Election Commission deadline month – which means at midnight on June 30th, we close our books for the quarter. Then we’ll be required to report how much money we raised over the past three months. Then those fundraising numbers will be public.
Here’s why it’s so important we show a strong FEC report:
Right now, I’m leading the fight in Washington to speak out against the Trump administration’s corruption. I’m also speaking out against my Republican colleagues who continue to stay silent while Trump’s actions hurt our freedoms, our safety, and our pocket books.
That means that I could very well be a top Republican target in next year’s election. So you better bet they are watching our fundraising numbers like a hawk. If they see any sign of weakness, they’ll jump at the opportunity to spend big in the Commonwealth to defeat me and expand their foothold of power. I refuse to let that happen.
Demonstrating strength month-to-month is the key to our success at the ballot box. But to do that, we need to hit our fundraising benchmarks. And to be completely transparent, right now we are falling behind. I know we can turn things around, but it’s going to take a huge surge of donations before midnight.
