CNN: Inside Trump’s gutting of the Justice Department unit that enforces voting laws [[link removed]]
John, what's happening is so clear: Trump and his MAGA cronies are fundamentally transforming our Department of Justice and turning it into a tool for undermining voting rights, not protecting them.
Under his watch, the DOJ and it's Civil Rights Division -- once lauded as the "crown jewel" of the Justice Department -- has abandoned its nonpartisan mission of defending the freedom to vote. Instead, it’s targeting election officials, amplifying debunked voter fraud claims, and trying to intimidate states into giving election data.
Voter Action Project was founded in 2020 to fight for the use of mail-in ballots under a hostile Trump administration during a global pandemic. We're still fighting right now, working every day to protect our fundamental right to vote under yet another vicious administration that's looking to trample all over American citizens and our ability to make our voice heard through our elections.
In the face of escalating attacks on our right to vote, increasing amounts of voter disinformation, and voter intimidation tactics on the rise – will you stand with us and chip in $25 today to help us defend voting rights? >> [[link removed]]

We've tried to keep you updated on what's going on at DOJ under Trump , to make every American aware of MAGA's relentless campaign, executed by the department’s political leaders, to smear the work of the longtime attorneys, dismiss noncontroversial cases, and reassign career supervisors.
CNN has reported that: " During President Donald Trump’s first term, DOJ officials forced voting section attorneys to abandon the more high-profile work that had often been opposed by conservatives. But the gutting of the section during Trump’s second administration goes far beyond that, according to former department attorneys and outside voter advocates ."
We know our fundamental rights, including voting and so much more, aren't going to be protected by this administration. In fact, they're going to be repeatedly attacked from within our government as they try and consolidate their control forever. That's why we need to stand up and defend things from the outside.
Please, John, fuel our efforts to protect our right to vote and so much more with $25 or more right now >> [[link removed]]

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
