What we’ve said from the start is being proven in court: Trump’s allegations that these firms are engaged in “conduct detrimental to critical American interests” are false, and his demands for MILLIONS in pro bono legal work are unconstitutional. The firms that have stood up to Trump have resoundingly won their cases.
In fact, Trump’s lawyers are so sure they are in the wrong, they haven’t even bothered to appeal the cases. Trump himself even said, “They give me a lot of money considering they’ve done nothing wrong.”
But sadly, they don’t have to appeal when so many of the biggest law firms in the country have already bent the knee. These firms are shaping the future of American democracy with their cowardice. Legal elites are complicit when they legitimize Trump’s authoritarianism.
