I’m writing to humbly ask you to make a contribution — of whatever you can afford — before our FEC fundraising deadline closes on Monday.

Let me explain:

Since day one, this campaign has been powered by grassroots supporters like you who give $5, $10 or even $25 to emails just like this. No corporate PACs, no special interests, just regular people chipping in what they can.

With so much on the line for this campaign and this movement under Trump’s far-right rule, we had no choice but to set ambitious goals. That’s because we are legally required to submit our fundraising totals to the FEC, who will then publish them online for all to see.

So you can bet that the far-right and Big Oil will be watching to see if we have the true grassroots support to fight their agenda. If not enough people chip in before the deadline, we risk sending all the wrong messages.

But the thing is, when everyone reading this email contributes what they can, a $5 contribution from you is really all it takes to meet and potentially even surpass our goals in no time.

So please, I’m humbly asking:

Can you make a contribution before our FEC fundraising deadline comes to a close at midnight on Monday? I wouldn’t ask if it weren’t so important.
