The Only Thing They're Efficient at is Exploiting the People

In this week's DOGE hearing, I laid out how DOGE should stand for "Disinformation, Obstruction, Greed, and Exploitation." While Republicans celebrated the harms they've caused by the cuts they've imposed, I wanted to take time to remind y'all that it's everyday working people who will pay the price for this chaos they are causing.

 Visas, Hypocrisy, and the Einstein Math that Ain’t Mathin’

They scream “integrity,” but nothing about this administration—or the way they’ve governed—has been rooted in it. In this week’s Judiciary Subcommittee hearing, I had to call out the hypocrisy. I laid out the real costs of Trump’s travel bans and how Republicans keep weaponizing immigration while gutting healthcare, education, and economic opportunity.

Resolution to Create Congressional Commission on Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation


In advance of the Juneteenth celebration, I joined Congresswoman Lateefah Simon (D-CA-12) and Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) to introduced the United States Commission on Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation Concurrent Resolution (H.Con.Res.37 / S.Con.Res.14).  

This legislation urges the creation of a congressional commission acknowledging and examining systemic racism that has impacted Black Americans throughout U.S. history and the racial inequities that persist today.

Military Service Academy

Members of Congress may nominate candidates for appointment to four of the five U.S. service academies: U.S. Military Academy (USMA), West Point, NY; the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), Annapolis, MD; the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, CO; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), Kings Point, NY. The fifth service academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA), New London, CT, does not require a congressional nomination for appointment.

Congresswoman Crockett may nominate up to ten individuals for each vacant academy slot allotted to our district. To request a Service Academy Nomination from our office, visit: tx30.us/military.
