Hey, sorry to reach out so early on a Saturday, but like many parents, I’m up with my boys Davis and Sam and figured I’d take a minute to reach out and get a head start on the day.

First and foremost, I want to be upfront: Yes, I’m going to ask for a donation at the end of this email. But I promise there’s a good reason for it.

In just two days, our next FEC fundraising deadline arrives, and it’s a big one. We’ll be required by law to release our fundraising numbers for all to see, including any potential Republican opponents.

That’s why this deadline is SO important. We can’t show them any signs of weakness in this FEC report. Not when there’s so much on the line in next year’s midterms.
