My name is Dr. Chris Meek, and I’m the founder of SoldierStrong.

We started back in 2009, simply trying to say “thank you” to the men and women serving overseas by sending care packages to our troops. At the time, we thought we were doing our part.

But over the years, something became painfully clear: for so many veterans, the hardest part wasn’t the war—it was coming home.

They returned with life-changing injuries… spinal cord damage, amputations, traumatic brain injuries, and wounds no one could see—like PTSD.

Too often, they were met with a system that couldn’t fully support them. And that’s when we knew: our mission had to grow.

Today, SoldierStrong helps veterans recover by providing access to some of the most advanced medical technologies in the world.

Through our SoldierSuit program, we help veterans with spinal cord injuries stand and walk again using robotic exoskeletons. You should see their faces the first time they rise out of a wheelchair and take steps again. It’s not just about movement—it’s about freedom. Dignity. Hope.

And for those fighting PTSD, our BraveMind virtual reality therapy helps them process their trauma in a safe and effective way. It’s not a quick fix—but it is a real path to healing, and it’s changing lives.
