Avery was just 17 when he lost his arm to cancer. Shortly afterward, he learned he would receive a wish: to go to Hawaii and eat mangoes.
The anticipation of his wish got him through chemo and hospital stays. And when Avery was well enough, he found ten different kinds of mangoes waiting for him in his Hawaiian hotel room. He also found a fresh start.
We grant wishes like Avery’s all summer long, but for every wish we grant, two more kids are still waiting. Donate now. Your first gift can go 3X as far to help fill the gap for kids like Avery.
Thanks to a group of generous donors who have offered to match all gifts for a short time, now’s your chance to help grant 3X the wishes. And we still need $9,500 to close the summer funding gap. Avery’s story is just one example of the kind of impact a wish has for a child fighting a critical illness. Please give now to help more children experience the life-changing power of a wish.
Wishfully,
Becca Blader
