Folks, I’m reaching out with an update on Republicans’ plan to sell off millions of acres of public land to offset their massive tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy:

The Senate parliamentarian – the rules expert on the Senate floor – just struck the plan from Trump’s budget bill, sending the Republicans back to the drawing board.

This is welcome news, but this fight is far from over. As I write this, Senate Republicans are already working overtime to find another way to sneak their ridiculous scheme onto the Senate floor — and I’m pulling every lever of power I have to stop them.

I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but let me be completely clear: The notion that we can crawl out of debt by selling off our public lands – while simultaneously adding trillions of dollars to that debt to give tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy – is complete lunacy.

I’ll always fight like hell to stop any and all attempts to sell off Colorado’s sacred public lands, because those lands belong to the people — not auctioned off to the highest bidder. If you’re with me, can you chip in a couple bucks to support my re-election? Anything you can spare will help keep me in the fight to defend Colorado’s land – and everybody’s access to it. → [[link removed]]
