Serving California’s 15th Congressional district is one of the greatest honors of my life. But I couldn't do it without the incredible support of our community. People just like you - who believed in me from the start.

When I first ran for Congress in 2022, I made a promise to fight for our future. That fight is all the more important now that Trump has been elected for a second term.

If signed into law, Trump’s Big Ugly Budget Bill would add trillions of dollars to our national debt, all so he can give massive tax breaks to his billionaire friends while leaving our future generations to foot the bill.

I’ve been fighting against this generational theft with everything I’ve got. But I can’t do it alone.

Earlier this year, I was in the hospital recovering from multiple surgeries when I heard Republicans wanted to try to jam their budget proposal through the House. I went straight to the airport from the hospital and flew to D.C. with an IV still attached so I could vote NO.

And just last month, my Democratic colleagues and I spent over 26 hours debating Trump’s Big Ugly Budget Bill in an Energy & Commerce Committee Hearing. Thanks to our efforts, nearly two thirds (64%) of the public now disapprove of the Medicaid cuts in this bill.
