It was a busy week in Washington as Senate Republicans made the Big, Ugly Bill even uglier. Their cuts to Medicaid will be devastating for patients and hospitals alike, threatening healthcare for millions of Americans. As we see Senate Republicans waver on the bill, I promise to keep the pressure on and speak out against these devastating cuts to Medicaid.

Health Secretary RFK Jr. Testifies in Hearing

On Tuesday, I fiercely questioned Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. about his uninformed and dangerous decision to end COVID-19 vaccine recommendations for pregnant women and children. His disregard for human safety and constant spread of disinformation is appalling.
Politicians should not make medical decisions for you. I continue fighting in Congress to provide you with complete and accurate medical information to make your own decisions about your own health.
My Statement on Iran
President Trump's decision to bomb Iran will not lead to peace but rather cause more violence, destruction, and conflict in the Middle East. Iran can never be allowed nuclear weapons, but it was President Trump's decision to break the Iran Nuclear Deal that allowed Iran to speed up their enrichment program, making us and our allies less safe. Instead of using diplomacy to lower temperatures, President Trump has escalated the situation, which will further destabilize the region and cause repercussions here at home and across the globe.
