[ [link removed] ]Breaking: Attempt to gut gun laws blocked—for now
Hi-
The good news: The Senate Parliamentarian ruled that language deregulating
silencers, short-barreled shotguns and rifles, and other dangerous weapons
violates Senate rules—a win for gun safety!
The bad news: This fight isn't over yet. Lawmakers in Congress that are
beholden to the gun lobby are already plotting to sneak provisions back
into the bill that would weaken these critical regulations before it
reaches the President's desk. If they succeed, it will put our families,
law enforcement officers, and entire communities in even more danger.
Don't believe us? Take a look for yourself: ⤵️

Overnight, the Senate parliamentarian struck down our provision to remove
NFA taxes and registration of suppressors and short-barreled firearms. I’m
NOT giving up. We have an opportunity to rewrite this language and try
again. Stay tuned."
Everytown is committed to opposing dangerous policies that put lives at
