Dear friend,

This month marks the anniversary of the founding of Stand With Parkland — an organization no one ever wanted to create, but one that became urgently necessary after the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Valentine's Day in 2018.

My daughter, Gina, was one of the 17 lives stolen that day. She was just 14 years old — bright, bubbly, artistic, and compassionate. We lost her in seconds to a preventable act of violence at her school.

In the weeks and months after that terrible February day, families like mine had to make an unthinkable choice: stay quiet in our grief, or speak up so other American families wouldn’t have to live through what we did.

We chose to act.

We founded Stand With Parkland to fight for real change to policies and practices that make our schools safer - not just thoughts and prayers. Together we’ve made progress. But the work is far from done.

That’s why, for this anniversary and end-of-quarter deadline, we set an ambitious goal of $10,000 to grow our movement and expand our impact. We need to show that people across the country stand with us in demanding action.

And right now, we’re falling behind.

I’m asking personally if you’ll help us close the gap. [[link removed]]

Your support helps us show lawmakers this isn’t just one family or one community. Your donation gives us the tools to keep fighting — in memory of my Gina, and on behalf of every student who deserves to come home safely.

Thank you for standing with us during this deeply personal month. Your support means more than I can say.

Thank you,

Tony Montalto
