Our Work Will Continue On July 21

I am glad to see that Governor Abbott, based on this statement from his spokesperson, has decided to ban all synthetic cannabis, including Delta 8, Delta 10, and others. My staff immediately reached out to begin working with Gov. Abbott’s office to craft language to achieve this goal so when we return to Austin for the special session on July 21st, we can quickly pass a bill to ban all synthetic THC. We will also be consistent with Senate Bill 3 to ensure dangerous THC edibles and beverages are banned. I thank Gov. Abbott for joining Speaker Burrows and me in his desire to ban these dangerous products.

Federal Court Delivers Major Win for Arkansas on THC Product Ban – I Look Forward to Delivering the Same Victory to Keep Texas Children Safe With Gov. Abbott

As I said at my press conference, it appeared to my legal team and me that Arkansas would win this case and be able to ban THC. The 8th Circuit Court of Appeals had telegraphed that this was going to be their decision in their oral arguments.

This was the second major news story on Tuesday about banning THC products — the first being Congress considering a national ban. It won’t be long before 8,000 smoke and vape shops will be out of business in Texas. All we have to do is pass SB 3, just like we passed during the regular session.

I look forward to delivering the same victory to keep Texas children safe with Gov. Abbott.

The Fight to Ban THC Isn’t Over

As I mentioned above, on Monday I held a press conference after Gov. Abbott vetoed Senate Bill 3 — legislation that would have banned consumable THC products in Texas. I joined Mark Davis on the air Tuesday morning to discuss it. Click here to listen [[link removed]].

President Trump’s Three Big Brilliant Ideas

[[link removed]]

Congressional Republicans are debating the “Big Beautiful Bill.” They must pass the BBB to give Americans the tax cuts they need and deserve.

The big three ideas:

1. No taxes on social security

2. No taxes on tips

3. And the biggest, no tax on overtime pay

Most people get time-and-a-half for overtime. Imagine earning time-and-a-half for unlimited hours with no taxes due on that money. That will put thousands of tax-free dollars in the pockets of hard-working Americans.

People will buy more retail goods, cars and trucks, travel, build new homes or remodel, invest in businesses, and so much more. Dreams will come true.

Spending those dollars will grow businesses, creating even more jobs. People will want to work more hours to make tax-free money, making our nation more productive.

This is the most brilliant idea ever to boost our economy and put more money in the pockets of Americans of every age. It’s inventive. It’s bold. It’s President Trump!

Thank you for all your support over the years and for everything you do to keep Texas red. May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless the greatest state of all—Texas.

Sincerely,
