Florida Democrats overwhelmingly believe in the right to abortion access. We proved it last November when over 90% of us voted “Yes” on Amendment 4, the Amendment to Limit Government Interference with Abortion.
So imagine our confusion when we learned that David Jolly, a former GOP Congressman with an extensive anti-choice record, is running for Governor of Florida… as a Democrat.

Jolly’s record on abortion rights is abysmal. He co-sponsored legislation to grant embryos full constitutional rights, voted for a national abortion ban, and WROTE THE BILL to defund Planned Parenthood. When questioned, he says that his “values haven’t changed” and that he wants Floridians to “move on” from these “culture wars.”
We will absolutely not be doing that!
You don’t get to spend a career trying to control women’s bodies and then act like it was just a phase. You don’t get to vote like a zealot then expect people not to talk about your record because there’s a D next to your name.
And you do not get to use the Florida Democratic Party to further your own political ambitions while simultaneously ignoring the will of 90% of Florida Democrats.
We’re demanding answers from David Jolly, and we hope you’ll stand with us.
