If Republicans get their way, your favorite spot to hike, camp, bike, ski, or fish could be sold off to the highest bidder.
I’ll explain more about this reckless proposal in a second, but if you already know that our public lands need protecting so that our children and our children's children can enjoy the incredible nature Colorado has to offer, will you rush a donation to help me protect these spaces for future generations?

Colorado’s public lands are critical to our economy and our way of life. But today, these priceless areas have never faced a greater threat.
Earlier this month, Republican Senator Mike Lee released a plan to put more than 250 MILLION acres of public lands up for private auction, including popular areas for hunting and fishing, wildlife habitats, and even historic sites.
To make matters even worse, the GOP’s bill would completely shut out public input. That means you may find your favorite outdoor areas permanently privatized and sold to the highest bidder.
I wanted to share some good news and bad news about this proposal:
First, the good news: Earlier this week, the Senate parliamentarian ruled that this legislation — as it is currently written — fails to comply with the rules of reconciliation. That means Republicans CAN’T pass this current legislation as part of their so-called “Big, Beautiful Bill.”
But here’s the bad news: Republicans aren’t giving up. Mike Lee has already vowed to revise his plan and move this scheme forward.
Growing up in Colorado, I was surrounded by beautiful public lands and natural wonders. Like so many parents, I want my sons to grow up in a world where they can see and experience our incredible public lands.
Coloradans and I won’t stand for this and I promise to keep fighting to protect the places we cherish. I am — and always will be — a HELL NO on public land privatization.
Please stand with me in the fight to protect our public lands for future generations:
