John, we are losing the soul of America.

Since the start of President Trump's second term, Trump and his Republican allies have eroded democratic norms at an astonishing pace.

ICE agents have raided the streets of Los Angeles, targeting undocumented immigrants with senseless cruelty. The administration's original claim that they would focus on deporting those with criminal records has been proven as patently false.

Trump, Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, their armed agents, and U.S. military troops have stormed schools, invaded churches, and swarmed workplaces. All of this has been done with the tacit approval and permission of the Republican party.

However in a revival of the American Spirit, these raids have inspired push back.

Students have walked out of class. Neighbors have stood up for neighbors. Communities have been loud and vigorous in pushing back and saying not here, not now.

These protests have been vital assertions of the first amendment and a timely reminder of our obligation as citizens.

It is our job to fight back, protest, and speak up against these authoritarian actions.

Our job has already started with protests, civic action, and local engagement. But our biggest test yet is approaching in the 2026 midterm elections.

In 2026, we have a real shot to stop Trump’s extremist agenda by flipping control of the House and Senate. Speak Up PAC is planning now to help Democrats win big, but we can’t do it without your help.
