Missouri Net News [link removed] UWF Calls for Action on Legislation

The proposed budget bill gifts tax cuts to the wealthiest at the expense of the most vulnerable. $793 billion cut to Medicaid would mean over 10 million people losing their health insurance. $300 billion cut to the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) would mean 7 million people going hungry, including 2 million children. This bill provides $134 billion to Immigration, Customs, and Enforcement (ICE) to expand detention facilities and enforcement on immigrant and refugee communities through mass deportations, raids, detentions and arrests.
