Donald Trump’s memecoin dinner was one of the most corrupt events we’ve ever seen.
By asking people to purchase a digital asset he profits from—the value of which is entirely speculative—in order to meet with him, Donald Trump created the perfect opportunity for those seeking to influence the president to inflate his net worth and gain an audience with him.
And now over a month later, we still don’t have the full list of attendees of this astonishingly corrupt dinner.
That’s why we filed a Freedom of Information Act request for all records used by the Secret Service to track and record anyone who attended the memecoin dinner , as well as information about what (if any) security procedures were in place and whether background checks of the attendees were conducted.

It is vital that the American people know who bought access to Trump.
Cryptocurrencies are traded anonymously around the globe, meaning that it’s possible that this dinner could’ve been exploited by foreign powers and special interests to gain an audience with the president without public scrutiny.
What we’ve learned through public reporting has only added to those concerns. We know one attendee has links to the Chinese Communist Party committee—and we know a crypto fraudster [[link removed]] who wants his charges dropped by the SEC attended as well.
We need the full picture.
By requesting information about the attendees of this dinner, and the protocols used to screen them, CREW seeks to ensure that the conflicts of interest created by this event can be tracked and judged by the American people.
