This is big, John.
A new poll shows pro-choice champion Christina Bohannan leading Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks by FOUR points in Iowa's 1st Congressional District.
Plus, only 32% of voters approved of Miller-Meeks' record.
Voters are turning on Republican leaders who aren't fighting for them, and we need to keep up the momentum.
How's this for a statistic: Last cycle, Miller-Meeks won reelection by fewer than 800 votes. The GOP flooded IA-01 with millions in cash because they knew how close this race would be.
This year, Rep. Miller-Meeks voted to strip health care from 603,000 Iowans when she voted for Trump's budget bill. That's right: She won by fewer than 800 votes, but is willing to leave hundreds of thousands of her fellow Iowans out to dry when it comes to their health. Unsurprisingly, this seat has been rated a TOSS-UP this cycle — and it will be one of the most important seats at play in the 2026 fight for the House majority.
It's time we send extremists like Mariannette Miller-Meeks packing, John.
