John,
The Supreme Court just ruled that parents can opt their children out of reading books with LGBTQ+ characters in public elementary schools.
Let’s be clear: This isn’t about “parental rights.” It’s about erasing us from the classroom.
This ruling gives a green light to bigots who want to strip LGBTQ+ people from school libraries and lesson plans, and pushes us one step closer to a future where queer kids grow up never seeing themselves represented.
We can’t wait for courts to stop this. We must elect LGBTQ+ leaders who will. Rush a donation to elect pro-equality candidates and ENSURE LGBTQ+ stories are defended!
Extremist politicians are already banning books, censoring history, and punishing teachers who support LGBTQ+ students. Now they’ve got the Court’s blessing.
The fight for representation is a fight for survival. If we want to protect the next generation of LGBTQ+ youth, we need to elect leaders who will stand up to this erasure and fight for every student’s right to belong.
We can’t let a handful of extremists dictate what our kids can learn - and who gets to be seen. Let’s fight back. Donate today to elect LGBTQ+ leaders up and down the ballot!
In solidarity,
Orie Givens
