Here’s what’s happening at the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park
Six-Feet-Tall and Growing Fast
Spotted: a not-so-little new arrival. We recently celebrated the birth
of a male Masai giraffe calf at the San Diego Zoo
Safari Park. After
spending time bonding with his mom, the newborn is now getting to know
the curious herd, who will help guide him as he grows.
Giraffe populations have declined by 30% over the past 30 years, and
every birth supports a brighter
future for this endangered
species. With
allies like you, we’re saving, protecting, and caring for giraffes and
other vulnerable wildlife across our Savanna
Conservation Hub. On your next visit to the Safari Park,
stick
your neck out and meet this gangly youngster.
