We’re thrilled to announce that plant-based pioneers Miyoko Schinner (chef, author, entrepreneur) and Pat Brown (founder of Impossible Foods) have joined the speaker lineup for Hoedown 2025!
Farm Sanctuary’s Hoedown 2025
Dates: Saturday, August 2 & Sunday, August 3 Times: 9 a.m. Saturday (presentations start at 10:15) to 4 p.m. Sunday Location: Farm Sanctuary, 3136 Aikens Road, Watkins Glen, NY 14891 Full Schedule:Click here All humans are welcome!
Since founding Miyoko’s Creamery, award-winning chef Miyoko Schinner has changed the world of dairy-free food, founded farm animal sanctuary Rancho Compasión, published six cookbooks (plus “The Vegan Creamery,” on the way!), launched “The Vegan Good Life with Miyoko” on YouTube, and more.
Pat Brown founded Impossible Foods to combat the devastating environmental impacts of animal agriculture by offering innovative alternatives. From widely available plant-based nuggets, steak, and bowls to the Impossible Whopper found on Burger King menus nationwide, Impossible Foods has revolutionized protein.
These inspiring speakers will be joined at Hoedown by Henry Crews and Angel Jones of the Green Rural Redevelopment Organization (GRRO), as well as Gene Baur, president and co-founder of Farm Sanctuary, as he reflects on our 40th anniversary in 2026 and all we can achieve next with you by our side.
Your Hoedown registration also includes delicious vegan meals, quality time with rescued farm animals, a dance party, camping on our sanctuary grounds (optional), and more.
Hoedown Weekend is not to be missed! Please get your tickets now, knowing that your purchase supports Farm Sanctuary’s year-round work for animals, people, and the planet.
With gratitude,
Farm Sanctuary
P.S. Did you know the precursor to the Impossible Whopper was the BK Veggie, inspired by a grassroots campaign led by Farm Sanctuary? We helped spark local change—Pat Brown helped turn it into a national movement!
