Hi Friend,
The Senate is now considering legislation to rescind – take back – previously appropriated funding for global health and development. This bill, S.2067, is a devastating package to codify Trump’s and Elon Musk’s reckless, unilateral slashing of lifesaving global health aid. The bill passed the House on June 12 by the narrowest of margins.
Here what’s at stake if the Senate approves this bill:
* Slash $900 million from global health programs, $500 million of which is allocated to programs related to child and maternal health, HIV/AIDS, and infectious diseases.
* Gut $2.5 billion from Development Assistance, which helps deliver family planning, maternal health, and HIV prevention around the world.
* Eliminate $43 million allocated for to the President’s Complex Crises Fund, endangering the United States’ ability to respond to rapidly developing crises, such as the spread of infectious diseases.
* Slash the entire $437 million contributions to International Organizations and Programs, including funding for the UN Children’s Fund, UN Development Program, and UN Population Fund.
The Trump administration claims programs that support for women and children, like access to family planning and reproductive health, “worsen their lives” and are “antithetical to American interests.” We know the truth: access to family planning helps create stronger families, stronger communities, and stronger countries.
The Senate could vote this week. Urge your Senators to oppose the legalization of Musk’s nefarious agenda today.

We cannot stand by while Congress legitimizes Musk and Trump’s rampage against lifesaving foreign aid and the American public media.
