Pride is a celebration of who we are—but it has always been a protest. This year, as attacks against trans and queer people escalate around the world, Pride remains an act of resistance, visibility, and deep solidarity.
During World Pride, Outright led the charge with March for All, our global solidarity action for those who cannot safely take to the streets. We carried the voices of those silenced by violence, repression, or fear—and we will carry that momentum into New York City Pride this weekend.
On June 29, Outright will once again march alongside the United Nations LGBTI Core Group in the NYC Pride Parade, demonstrating the power of global solidarity. But we know showing up matters everywhere.
We invite you to join us—whether in person from the sidelines, online, or in spirit. And if you do march, consider carrying a trans flag this year. Wear the colors. Carry the stories. Show up in solidarity—not just for yourself, but for those whose very existence is being threatened. It’s a small act with big meaning.
Pride is not just a moment. It’s a movement. It’s how we show the world that LGBTIQ people exist, resist, and refuse to be erased. As our recent Pride Around the World report showcases, Pride is a time where activists around the world “Show Up With No Shame” and have their voices heard.
Outright is proud to support and participate in Pride events globally, each one shaped by local struggle and resilience—and each one reminding us that we are truly stronger together.
