Dear Friends,

We are excited to announce that Naquasia Jones (pictured below) has joined the NRCAT team to work with NRCAT’s National Network of Solitary Survivors! Naquasia brings a wealth of experience and expertise as an advocate, activist, and direct service provider, and is also the founder and CEO of PureLegacee, which focuses on serving women and girls who have been impacted by incarceration. In her role with NRCAT, Naquasia is growing and strengthening the Network as it approaches 200 members.

You can join our efforts to recruit, conduct media and advocacy trainings, and provide support for solitary survivors by donating to NRCAT today.

Members of the Network of Solitary Survivors are connected via monthly calls, which include trainings and guest speakers, a quarterly newsletter, and special educational events like the annual Women’s History Month Webinar. In reflecting on her new role with NRCAT, Naquasia said, “When you put a human being in solitary confinement, you rob people of their humanity. I’m passionate about this work because I was 24 years old when I was placed in solitary confinement. It had a profound impact on my life. I want to be a part of this movement because no human being should be forced to be in inhumane conditions.”

Your financial support of the NRCAT National Network of Solitary Survivors helps uphold the inherent dignity of every human being. Donate today and your contribution will be doubled thanks to our generous donors, up to our goal of $30,000, this Torture Awareness Month.

Sincerely,

Rev. Ron Stief
Executive Director

P.S. We are excited to introduce our new merchandise, giving NRCAT supporters the opportunity to wear your values! Check out our new shirts, hoodies, hats, and mugs at the NRCAT store here.
