Friend,

Last month, Stephen Miller -- architect of Trump’s mass deportation agenda -- screamed at ICE officers for not disappearing enough people. He wanted more arrests. 3,000 a day. Whoever they could find.

So the White House’s foremost white nationalist demanded that ICE start conducting indiscriminate raids at Home Depots to meet his cruelty quota.

Since then, Home Depots have become a primary target of brutal ICE raids. We’ve seen ICE round up dozens of day laborers at a time, including US citizens. We’ve seen them smash windows to snatch people out of cars.

One day, children will look upon these images in their schoolbooks with horror. For those of us horrified right now, it’s essential we don’t turn away. This is the moment for action to defend our communities and stand up to ICE.

On July 1, our partners in the labor movement are holding a Stand Up to ICE day of action. Workers across the country will head to Home Depots to distribute Know Your Rights leaflets containing information on what to do if you see someone detained or if you are detained by ICE.

If you’re getting this email, there’s a solidarity event at a Home Depot within ~10 miles of you. Please sign up, show up, and help combat ICE’s thuggery by sharing vital knowledge.

Stand Up to Ice Know Your Rights Day of Action July 1

A lot of Indivisibles have reached out about ways to share Know Your Rights info online. This is an opportunity to get this resource out into the real world, at the very sites where it’s most needed.

We’re really into this idea and have hopes that it’ll spread after July 1 to other towns and cities nationwide. But for this day of action, we are only enthusiastic supporters and participants -- any questions should be directed to individual event hosts or the July 1 sponsors.

Some of your questions will likely be answered by this legal guidance document from SEIU, which deals with what to bring, where it’s ok to distribute the flyers, and what to do should you encounter any ICE presence. Of course, once you arrive on site, there will be an organizer present to provide additional guidance.

A month ago, Stephen Miller was screaming “WHY AREN’T YOU AT HOME DEPOT?” Well, we heard him. And on July 1, a lot of us will be. Find an event here and join us.

Indivisible Project is a locally-led, people-powered movement of thousands of local groups in red, blue, and purple states, and in urban, suburban, and rural areas. Our mission is to power and lift up a grassroots movement of local groups to defeat the Trump agenda, elect progressive leaders, and realize bold progressive policies.

Grassroots donations, not foundations or large gifts, are our single largest source of funding. That means we’re accountable to, and fueled by, Indivisibles on the ground. Chip in $7 to keep fueling our movement.
