** 1. NC VALUES: HB 805 is Heading to Governor Stein's Desk
------------------------------------------------------------
Earlier this week, the North Carolina Senate passed HB 805 and the House concurred. Now, this important piece of pro-family legislation is headed to Governor Josh Steinās desk for his signatureāor his veto.
HB 805 is a comprehensive bill that helps protect North Carolina families by reaffirming biological reality, defending the safety and privacy of girls in Kā12 sleeping quarters, shielding children from online sexual exploitation, protecting taxpayer funds from being used for irreversible gender transition procedures, and ensuring parents have greater oversight over their childās education.

** 2. NC VALUES: We Applaud Bipartisan House Passage of SB 442 to Defend Parental Rights and Protect Children
------------------------------------------------------------
We applaud the NC House of Representativesā bipartisan passage of Senate Bill 442, the Parents Protection Act, by a vote of 74ā36 last week and the concurrence of the Senate by a vote of 28-19 this week. The bill shields parents from losing custody of their children or facing prosecution for abuse simply because they do not support gender transition interventions. Parents should never be required by the government to affirm dangerous and unscientific gender transition interventions.

** 3. WRAL: NC Republicans Advance Anti-Diversity Program Bills Targeting State Agencies, Education
------------------------------------------------------------
"A months-long GOP effort to rid North Carolina of diversity, equity and inclusion policies cleared a key final hurdle Wednesday in the state legislature, where Republican lawmakers passed bills aimed at state agencies and public education over vocal opposition from Democrats."

** 4. NC VALUES: Defund Planned Parenthood
------------------------------------------------------------
While leaving patients vomiting from rank conditions, Planned Parenthood prioritized pouring millions of dollars into woke lobbying and trying to defeat Republicans in races from the school board to the presidency. Planned Parenthood boasts that their advocacy and political organizations spent a massive $69.5 million during the 2024 election cycle. Their massive pro-abortion political arm, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, pushes all-trimester abortions and promotes fearmongering lies that put women and girls at needless risk. Their political arm has more lobbyists and spends more on federal lobbying than any other pro-abortion or pro-life group.
Women and children deserve better care. In an era of reexamining federal funding, Congress should start by cutting funding for Big Abortion and voting to DEFUND Planned Parenthood.
Click below to contact your legislators today and urge them to support this life-saving bill.

** 5. FOX NEWS: Supreme Court Rules Against Planned Parenthood Medicaid Funding Dispute
------------------------------------------------------------
"Supreme Court ruled Thursday that South Carolina has the power to block Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood clinics, in a technical interpretation over healthcare choices that has emerged as a larger political fight over abortion access.
The case, Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, centers on whether low-income Medicaid patients can sue under what is known as Section 1983 ā part of the Civil Rights Act of 1871 ā in order to choose their own qualified healthcare provider."

** Weekly Prayer: Officials
------------------------------------------------------------
LORD, you also have instructed us to pray for our governing officials, and we come to you in the spirit of this petition. We pray for our state government and its executive, legislative, and judicial servants. May they indeed be servants unto the people, and govern in a manner that protects liberty and virtue. In the same spirit, we pray for public servants across our local governments. May they all heed your mandate in Romans 13:4 to be in positions of authority as āGodās servantā and for the āgoodā of the public. They govern in what we confess are difficult times. May they plead with you to give them wisdom, and may your grace to govern wisely be poured out on them.
Protect us from the oppression and loss of freedoms that other countries have experienced, and help us to value and preserve freedom, which we know comes only from You.
āI have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free.ā Acts 7:34
Amen
Sincerely,
Tami & Team
