Yesterday was nothing short of extraordinary.

On Giving Day, thousands of animal lovers rallied together to create a wave of compassion, hope, and lifesaving action. We are so grateful to everyone who gave, shared, and stood up for the animals who need us most.

But something even more amazing happened.

PAWS supporter Nancy Aversa was so moved by your outpouring of love and commitment to the No Kill mission that she wants the momentum to continue.

She’s offered a $10,000 match—but only if we can raise $10,000 more by midnight on June 30.

This extended match could help save animals who need urgent care right now—like Rita, a sweet stray who arrived at PAWS from Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) with a dangerously swollen eye on the brink of rupture.

CACC doesn’t have the capacity to provide emergency surgery. But PAWS does. And we’re less than two miles away.

Rita was rushed into surgery at our Medical Center the very next morning, her damaged eye removed to relieve her pain. Now she’s healing with laser therapy—and getting ready to meet the family who will finally show her the love she deserves.

Or like Saren, one of 20 terrified cats dumped at CACC in sealed boxes—overheated, scared, and covered in ear mites.

Saren, a young mom with tiny kittens in tow, was examined at our Medical Center and entered our foster program the next day. She’s battling an upper respiratory infection, but thanks to donors like you, she and her babies are safe, warm, and finally able to rest.
