Every so often, it’s important to pause and celebrate the amazing things we’ve accomplished together. Today is one of those days as our dedicated Monitor and Evaluation team have just released the latest impact data.
Thanks to your support, here’s what we made possible in 2024:
- 2.2 million+ eye screenings and examinations conducted at schools and community outreach events
- 38,000+ trainings completed by eye care professionals and community health workers
- 72,000+ eyeglasses prescribed
- 53,000+ eye surgeries and laser treatments performed
- Of these, 17,000+ were life-changing surgeries for trachomatous trichiasis
- 552,000+ patient visits to health facilities for eye care
- 8.6 million+ doses of antibiotics distributed to help eradicate trachoma
It’s important to remember that behind each number is a life transformed.
