Senator Maria Cantwell held a press conference with outdoor recreationists to express their belief that millions of acres of public lands are not for sale.


Trump and the GOP see our public lands as nothing more than a budget line item, a spare part of our economy they can sell off for the highest bidder to turn into luxury resorts or golf courses.

National forests, waterways, and outdoor spaces provide countless, irreplaceable benefits to Washingtonians and Americans everywhere – from outdoor recreation and tourism, to clean air and drinking water, habitat for endangered species and more.
