BREAKING: YouGov polling shows Democrats lead Republicans in generic ballot polling ahead of midterms

“Generic ballot” polling asks whether voters would choose the Democrat or Republican candidate in a hypothetical upcoming election.

This type of polling is critical to gauging public support ahead of major elections, like the upcoming 2026 midterms.

And this week, both YouGov and Ballotpedia reported Democrats leading Republicans by a significant margin as high as 4%!
