Hi John,
Donald Trump is using our military as political props to boost his own ego. And Nicole Malliotakis is cheering him on.
Let’s be clear: Marines didn’t enlist to fight battles in our homeland against our own citizens. They didn’t sign up to miss Father’s Day or to march in a poorly planned parade for Trump’s birthday.
Our community knows what real service looks like. Staten Island and Southern Brooklyn are home to so many active-duty members, veterans, and military families. We honor that commitment — and it’s an insult to anyone in uniform to turn it into a sideshow for a man who cares more about power than people.
We need a representative who respects the service of our military, not someone who uses them as a backdrop for politics.
This is a winnable race! If we work as a community, bring our resources together, and push back against extremism. We don’t need more MAGA cheerleaders in Congress. We need leadership rooted in compassion, common sense, and service to others.
