Another Inspirational Rally!
Hi John,
We did it again! On Saturday, June 14, a massive crowd of 4,000 showed up in Morristown to send a message: “No Kings” now or ever in our democracy!

Despite the morning’s intermittent rain, peaceful protesters took over South Street in front of Town Hall to join a nationwide call to action in response to Trump’s costly military parade, which coincided with his birthday.
We celebrated what it really means to be an American, proudly waving the stars-and-stripes for Flag Day and listening to speakers talk about our shared values. Rep. Mikie Sherrill, the Democratic gubernatorial nominee, said, “Right here in Morristown, we know that in 1776, this nation decided that we were not going to be ruled by kings. That we would take a different path, that we were going to be ruled by the people of this country!”
Among the many emotional moments, when Rep. Sherrill greeted a surprise guest, former Gov. Christie Todd Whitman, who is the only woman to serve as Garden State’s governor and is now a member of the Forward Party! [link removed] [[link removed]]

Tom Malinowski; Susan Vercheak, Tom Paine Brigade ; Micauri Vargas, New Jersey Institute for Social Justice; Sarah Best, Planned Parenthood Action Fund of NJ; Judy Kelly, 11th for Change; Morristown United Methodist Church Pastor Luana Cook Scott; student Miles Gorman; and local activists Dana Levens and Cendahl Cornellio-Alter; with chants led by Laura Valente; and live music from Billy Webster and Sam Tunkel.

UPCOMING EVENTS
SAVE THE DATE - JULY 17th
The next nationwide call to action is around the corner. Join us on Thursday, July 17, in Morristown, to make “Good Trouble” in memory of Rep. John Lewis, who passed away on this date in 2020. We plan to honor the legacy of the great Rep. Lewis with inspirational speakers and a march! This is a national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration. In America, the power lies with the people.
Details are still being finalized! RSVP [[link removed]] for updates and the location.

WE’RE STILL LOOKING FOR TOM KEAN
Where in the world is Rep. Tom Kean? He continues to hide and is making it difficult for constituents to visit his office. After repeated rallies and marches to his Bernardsville District Office starting in March, Kean abruptly closed it and opened a new one in Lebanon. The “Finding Kean Fridays” team tracked him down – or, at least, found the office, where he never seems to show up. However, the landlord has been harassing constituents and even banned them from parking in the usually empty lot. The building’s superintendent took it a step further, calling the state police to remove a group of visitors! We won’t back down!
