Dear John,

This morning, the U.S. Supreme Court took another brutal swing in its war on women.
In a 6–3 decision, the far-right majority sided with South Carolina in Medina v. Planned Parenthood, allowing the state to kick Planned Parenthood and all reproductive health clinics out of its Medicaid program.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t just about abortion.  This is about blocking low-income women and girls from basic reproductive care — cancer screenings, birth control, STI testing — just because their provider also happens to offer abortions.

Planned Parenthood and hundreds of independent reproductive health clinics have been a lifeline for millions. And now, states – and Congress – have a green light to cut that lifeline off.

Right now, Congress is debating a bill to defund Planned Parenthood nationwide – endangering 200 clinics.

Justice Gorsuch’s opinion made it plain: Medicaid patients do not have the right to sue when states violate the federal law that says they can see “any qualified provider.” Translation: States can now discriminate — and patients are left with no legal recourse.

Who suffers?

Women. Especially in rural areas, where 60% of reproductive health clinics are already vanishing.  Poor women. Black and brown women. Young women and girls. Moms. Survivors.

This is a calculated attack — part of a sweeping plan to dismantle every last safeguard for reproductive freedom.

We will never accept a country where a woman’s healthcare is decided by partisan judges.

We are the majority. And we are not done.
