Independence Day Reminders

Join us on July 4 at 9:30 p.m. for the Village's spectacular annual fireworks display [ [link removed] ] at PrairiePoint Park, located at 4120 Plainfield Road. Bring your chairs and blankets and get ready to celebrate freedom under the stars! The rain date is July 5.

Note: Village offices will be closed on July 4 and garbage collection will be delayed by one day due to the holiday.

June Business of the Month

The Village of Oswego and the Economic Development Commission are pleased to recognize Prairie Pals Christian Preschool & Childcare as the Business of the Month for June 2025.

Now entering its 23rd year, Prairie Pals has grown from four preschool classrooms into a thriving 12,000-square-foot facility at 33 Stonehill Road. Under the leadership of Director Leslie Kennedy, the organization serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years old and operates as a not-for-profit under the Oswego Christian Foundation.

Prairie Pals is not only a valued provider of early childhood education and care, but also an active community partner. The organization supports and collaborates with local businesses and regularly participates in community events such as Prairie Fest, the Christmas Walk, and Oswego Downtown Association fundraisers.

President Kauffman Receives Top ESGR Award

President Kauffman ESGR Pro Patria Award

During the Army’s 250th Birthday celebration at Cantigny Memorial Park, Oswego Village President Ryan Kauffman was honored with the ESGR Pro Patria Award, presented by Doug Wallace. This distinguished recognition is the highest award granted by the Illinois Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve and is awarded to employers who demonstrate exceptional support for their employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve.

President Kauffman’s leadership reflects a deep commitment to patriotism, service, and community. His dedication to those who serve is a proud moment for Oswego and a meaningful example of civic responsibility in action.
