A Message From Sheriff Susanna Johnson

The second quarter of 2025 has been a busy time for your Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. We’ve been out in our community, addressing important crime issues, building partnerships to better serve you, providing more services to help people as they leave our county jail, and connecting with our local businesses to improve safety.

One exciting development is the expansion of our partnership with Snohomish County Human Services to include “Direct Response Designated Crisis Responders (DCRs).” These professionals are available to assist us in the field when we need a higher level of expertise to help people experiencing a behavioral health crisis. What began in South County has now expanded countywide to all areas we serve.

In this edition of our quarterly newsletter, you’ll find highlights on the return of our Community Academy, our Sheriff for a Day event, the expansion of our In2Work culinary program to women in our jail, details on upcoming community events, career opportunities, and a link to our full 2024 Annual Report. This report showcases the dedication of our staff and offers transparent insight into crime data, corrections, accountability, and our budget.

Thank you for staying connected with us and for your continued partnership in making Snohomish County a safer place for all.

-Sheriff Susanna Johnson
