Dear friend,

Ten years ago today, the Supreme Court affirmed in Obergefell v. Hodges that love is love—and marriage equality became the law of the land.

It was a monumental step forward. And here in Virginia, we didn’t stop there. When Democrats took control of the General Assembly in 2020, we made history by passing some of the strongest LGBTQ+ protections in the South.

But now, that progress is under threat. Will you rush a donation before our June 30 end-of-quarter deadline to help us protect LGBTQ+ rights and elect more Democrats who will fight for equality?

Republicans are already working to roll back those protections—targeting trans students, banning books, and laying the groundwork to undo everything we’ve fought for. The only thing standing in their way is a Democratic majority in the General Assembly.

Pride Month is a time to celebrate how far we’ve come. But it's also to prepare for what’s next. Every election matters. Every seat matters. And every dollar we raise now helps us organize, mobilize, and win.

Thanks for standing with us.

With gratitude,
Democratic Party of Virginia
